Rhiannon, a fourteen-year-old girl in twelfth-century England who lives on the bluff of Clodaghcombe with her healer mom and grandmother, enlists the aid of a handsome young monk, a mysterious French pirate, and a ghostly, little girl in an attempt to solve the murder of a stranger whose body was found close to home, and clear her friend and neighbor of suspicion.
