After seeing Ceres and Yuhi fly off the Mikage Coporation offices, a girl named Chidori began searching for them.

Miaka Y?ki, a normal junior high student from Tokyo, begins reading a book set in ancient China and suddenly finds herself not in the library, but in the book itself, transformed into the priestess of the god Suzaku and sent on a quest to find her seven Celestial-Warrior protectors, with whom she does not always get along.

Takiko helps Uruki mourn for a loved one's death and prepares to rescue Teg, while Uruki, who learns that the Priestess will have to sacrifice herself to summon Genbu, promises to send her back to the safety of her own world.

Takiko and Chamka save a girl from a burning house and accept the hosptitality of her family until Chamka can recover from using his special power of freezing things in ice, but when the girl's father sells Chamka out to the bandits, Limdo must save the day.

Takiko is back in the Universe of the Four Gods where she discovers what happened between Uruki and his father to make them enemies.

Unaware that they are being tracked by new enemies, Miaka and the Celestial Warriors journey into the frigid north in search of sacred treasures that will provide them a second chance to summon the god Suzaku.
